Job Description Summary

The Analytic Platform Architect will be part of the team to help build and maintain the cloud analytic platforms including Dataiku hosted on AWS and AWS serverless architecture including EMR Studio. Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Dataiku platform within GE Aerospace. The design and implementation include installation and configuration of Dataiku software and ensuring integration with other tools and data sources. The role also involves collaborating with data scientists, data engineers, and business line stakeholders to ensure the platform is effectively utilized to achieve business outcomes.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:
The Analytic platform architect will deal with the complex aspects of information management and analytics from user experience and performance to security and governance, to platform and infrastructure. To do this, the architect will need to consistently strive to reduce technical hurdles, simplify access to data, automate data processes, and act as a subject matter expert who coaches and consults partners and other technologists. The architect will help build and manage tools to monitor platform performance and usage to ensure high availability and reliability of the platform Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Dataiku DSS. Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders.

  • Experience with data lake, data warehouses, and relational databases.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms - AWS & Azure.
  • Depth of experience with Dataiku DSS and AWS serverless data science stack.
  • Strong Python and SQL.
  • Depth of knowledge in AWS EKS, S3, and security.
  • CloudFormation, IAM polices and Aws Networking, amazon Linux administration.
  • Depth of knowledge of Spark and distributed processing execution
  • Experience automating manual processes
  • Deep experience with information/data architecture
  • Deep experience with data engineering
  • Knowledge about data science concepts
  • Experience with IT process automation
  • Proven ability to teach technical concepts to those without a technical background
  • Approachable and able/willing to answer questions from users with a wide variety of backgrounds


Qualifications/Requirements :
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 2 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 7 years of professional experience
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
