Position Overview:

Accelerate Piscataway is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dedicated healthcare team. This position offers a day shift schedule with a competitive hourly rate of $38. As an LPN you will provide essential patient care and support within our facility ensuring high standards of nursing practice and patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Provide direct care to patients including administering medications performing treatments and monitoring patient conditions. Assist with daily living activities and ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Clinical Duties: Perform routine clinical procedures such as wound care catheter insertion and vital signs monitoring. Assist in diagnostic tests and procedures as required.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient care including assessments treatments and responses in the electronic health record (EHR). Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and facility standards.
  • Patient Communication: Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide information about care plans treatment options and progress. Address patient concerns and provide emotional support.
  • Coordination and Support: Work collaboratively with registered nurses physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care. Assist in the development and implementation of care plans.
  • Infection Control: Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures to prevent the spread of diseases and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to patient emergencies promptly and efficiently following established protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Valid LPN license and completion of an accredited LPN program.
  • Experience: Previous experience as an LPN is preferred but not required. New graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Skills: Strong clinical skills attention to detail and the ability to provide compassionate patient care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Additional certifications may be preferred based on facility needs.
