Summary

This position is located in Obed Wild and Scenic River, in the Division of Interpretation & Education

Open to the first 100 applicants or until 03/24/2024 whichever comes first. All applications submitted by 11:59 (EST) on the closing day will receive consideration.

Duties

Collects appropriate fees at park entrance station, visitor center, campground, and other visitor contact stations following established accountability guidelines for handling government funds. Safeguards funds collected. Present talks and lead tours providing general information relating to the historical themes of the park. Present programs to children and assist teachers with their visit. Create and contribute content to a wide variety of non-personal interpretive products, including digital media, informational brochures, and interpretive waysides. Staff the visitor center information desk, dealing with a high volume of personal contacts with varied members of the public. Provide prepared orientation, information and directions, and answer visitor questions. Foster good relations with patrons and maintain order. Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
