Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Staff Network Operations Engineer to support the deployment and operations of our zero trust network architecture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange, including ZIA (Zscaler Internet Access), ZPA (Zscaler Private Access), ZDX (Zscaler Digital Experience), and ZCC (Zscaler Client Connector). This role is critical in ensuring the successful implementation, operation, and optimization of our zero trust solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Deployment and Configuration: Lead the deployment and configuration of Zscaler zero trust solutions (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX, ZCC) to meet the organization's security and operational requirements.

Operational Support: Provide ongoing operational support for the zero trust architecture, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security.

Policy Management: Develop, implement, and manage security policies and access controls within the Zscaler environment to align with organizational security objectives.

Incident Response: Respond to and resolve security incidents and alerts related to the Zscaler zero trust environment. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and analyze system performance. Identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to optimize the user experience and system efficiency.

Collaboration: Work closely with IT, security, and network teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of zero trust solutions. Provide technical expertise and guidance on best practices.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures. Generate regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and other key metrics.

Training and Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate internal teams on Zscaler zero trust technologies and operational procedures. Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 7 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 9 years of professional experience

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in network operations and security, with a focus on zero trust architectures and Zscaler solutions.

Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

Eligibility Requirement:

Technical Skills:

- Deep understanding of Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange components: ZIA, ZPA, ZDX, ZCC.

- Strong knowledge of network protocols, security principles, and access control models.

- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

- Proficiency in scripting and automation for network operations (e.g., Python, PowerShell).

Soft Skills:

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Certifications:

- Relevant certifications such as Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP), Zscaler Certified Cloud Administrator (ZCCA), or other network security certifications are highly desirable.
