Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse
OSPTA Hospice is currently seeking dedicated and experienced Registered Nurses to deliver exceptional care to hospice patients in Monroeville and surrounding areas of PGH.
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Hospice experience is a plus
- Availability for On-Call support
- Strong computer and technology proficiency
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Willingness to travel in all weather conditions
- Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Recent active patient contact within the last three years, preferred
*RN Qualifications and Skills:*
Graduate of an approved registered nursing program; licensed to practice in the state where employed; possess excellent oral and written communication skills; demonstrate commitment to exceptional patient care and customer service with a high energy level.
*Knowledge/Skills/Ability:*- Ability to work independently and make accurate judgments
- Effective supervision skills
- Adaptability to diverse social, cultural, and religious backgrounds
- Completion of Hospice training program
*Essential Functions:*
- Regular assessment of nursing needs for Hospice patients
- Provision of dietary counseling
- Delivery of Hospice nursing services and treatments
- Initiation of appropriate nursing procedures for patient care and safety
- Observation and reporting of any changes in patient's condition
- Education and guidance to patients and families on care
- Supervision and training of nursing personnel
- Development and evaluation of patient care plans in collaboration with IDG
- Performance of specific nursing procedures as required
- Maintenance of patient records
- Coordination of care plan implementation for patients in various settings
