Job Description Summary

The Consignment Planning and Execution Specialist will work in the Consignment Center of Excellence (COE) within GE Aerospace Supply Chain. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling material for approved consignment suppliers that balances both supplier capacity while meeting production and customer needs, while also engaging in Daily Management activities and standard work execution. The role will also include process improvement initiatives within the consignment team and cross-functional collaboration.

This role is eligible for a hybrid working schedule and is based out of our Evendale, OH office.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage master planning, material processes and systems. Prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Optimize alignment between supply and demand.
  • Develop manufacturing plan requirements for tier 1 supplier and consigned indirect raw material input. Proactively collaborate with key stakeholders to validate inventory levels and transact adjustments at tier 1 to ensure raw material alignment.
  • Create raw material component and establish item attributes for indirect material purchases that align with engineering configuration per consignment contract approvals.
  • Utilizes expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions. Ability to learn and use Lean in a transactional space with special focus on problem solving, standard work, respect for people and continuous improvement.
  • Review existing standard work and procedures. Identify opportunity and provide feedback for improvements. Ensures processes are formalized and documented through standard operating procedures, work instructions, and standard work templates as required.
  • Participates in team op rhythms and helps to find creative solutions to address complex problems that impact the organization. Has ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Communicates messages and collaborates with others to adopt a different point of view and gain buy-in across the commodity team. Influences peers for support as required.
  • Engage in the S&OP supply process to understand impact of change on production schedules and provide feedback on sources ability to support.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in a Manufacturing - based role, Materials, Production Planning, Sourcing or Supply Chain Operations) + 3 years in a Manufacturing - based role, Materials, Production Planning, Sourcing or Supply Chain Operations ) or GE Leadership Program Graduate in lieu of experience
