Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students.
  • Develop and implement an individualized therapeutic program as part of the IEP for each student receiving services.
  • Coordinate educational services and counseling services with instructional staff and outside agencies.
  • Develop rapport and communicate with families as needed.
  • Maintain documentation session notes billing and service trackers for each student on the caseload.
  • Write quarterly progress reports.
  • Communicate with other staff regarding pertinent case issues.
  • Inform and coordinate with staff on the students educational treatment team regarding pertinent case issues.
  • Provide consultation to staff regarding issues related to counseling and family contact.
  • Serve as a resource for counseling materials and methods to teaching staff.
  • Assist in the development of individualized educational/behavioral programming for some students.
  • Assist with staff training as needed.
  • Complete verbal and formal assessments for mental health crisis situations.
Qualifications:
  • Clinical Master’s level OR State license in one of the following areas (Supervision available for those working towards licensure):
  • Licensed Clinical Psychologist
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker
  • Licensed Master Social Worker
  • Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor
  • Licensed Professional Counselor
