GRHS is seeking candidates for the position of Physician (Board Certified) – Full Time
Job Description
Under general supervision, provides comprehensive medical services by examining patients, diagnosing conditions, and providing treatments. Directs nurses, aides and others in the care and treatment of patients.
·Supervising staff including physician assistants and nurse practitioners
·Refers patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary
Advises patients on health care including health promotion, disease, illness and accident prevention. Coordinates work with nurses, social workers, rehabilitation therapists, pharmacists, psychologists and other health care providers. Directs and coordinates activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff. Examines patients and take their histories, order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures and consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health. Prescribes or administers treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury. In the EMR system, completes all orders and documents all evaluations, notes treatment, and plans within prescribed time frames and according to established guidelines. Consults with referring M.D. as needed. Provides emergency medical care.
