Network Engineer

That‘s why we need you, an experienced Network Engineer who knows how to develop the exact network needs.

As a Network Engineer on our team, you‘ll use your experience in network design, implementation, and administration experience. Also requires knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and engineering plus knowledge of and ability to use relevant hardware, software, and other equipment to support the nation‘s defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You‘ll upgrade or develop enterprise-wide infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze current working infrastructures and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems.

You‘ll apply your expertise in routing and switching, integration of encryption gear, network design and architecture, system interoperability, IP engineering, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, gateway protocol, virtual routing, and forwarding as you join our team of problem-solvers to help upgrade and deploy new capabilities and technologies.

Your knowledge of network protocols, equipment, emerging technology, and configurations will come in handy as you optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience in software and hardware firewalls, Cisco hardware, cloud migration, and infrastructure networking. you‘ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you‘ll make an impact on national security missions.

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience with network engineering

  • Experience with network system design, implementation, and administration

  • Experience with Visio, Word, and Excel in support of project documentation

  • Experience in both Microsoft and Linux environments

  • Experience with network monitoring and tools

  • Experience with concepts in open systems standards

  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and engineering

  • Ability to use relevant network hardware, software, and other equipment

  • Top Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in systems analysis and technical writing

  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in issue management, network troubleshooting, and support, as well as active directory enterprise, network management software, and tool suites

  • Bachelor‘s degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, Engineering

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual‘s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen‘s total compensation package for employees.
