Position Summary
This position will report to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will act as a strategic partner and right-hand to the CTO, enabling the successful execution of the technology strategy across the organization. The role is critical in supporting the CTO by managing day-to-day operations, driving key initiatives, ensuring cross-functional alignment, and helping to set and monitor goals for the technology team.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Assist the CTO in the development and implementation of the technology strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall objectives.
- Drive the execution of key initiatives and projects, ensuring timelines and goals are met.
- Monitor progress against goals and provide regular updates to the CTO and other stakeholders.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Office of the CTO, including coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and ensuring follow-ups.
- Serve as a point of contact between the CTO and internal/external stakeholders, managing communications and ensuring timely responses.
- Oversee budget planning and management for the technology department, working closely with finance and operations teams.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments to ensure alignment with the technology strategy.
- Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives on behalf of the CTO, ensuring successful execution.
- Act as a liaison between the technology team and other departments to address challenges, resolve conflicts, and ensure a cohesive approach.
- Provide the CTO with insights and recommendations on key issues and decisions.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and other materials for executive meetings and board presentations.
- Conduct research and analysis on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.
- Mentor and guide members of the technology team, helping to develop their skills and careers.
- Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and retaining top talent for the technology department.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and innovative culture within the technology team.
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 5-10 years in a leadership or strategic role, with a focus on technology, operations, or consulting.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale projects and cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of technology trends and their impact on business strategy.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and data analysis software.
- Proactive, resourceful, and able to anticipate the needs of the CTO and the technology team.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- A team player with a collaborative mindset and a positive attitude.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets, analyze complex data, and make informed decisions to drive successful project outcomes.
- Ability to travel up to 15%
Work Conditions:
