Responsibilities

: The selected applicant will be expected to answer animal complaints and calls for service and be available to rotate in an on-call status as needed. An Animal Control Deputy must be self-motivated and willing to work independently handling large and small domestic animals in a variety of environments. Duties also include writing incident reports, case jackets, case preparation, and prosecution of persons who violate County ordinances or State law. Requirements: SCCJA Class 1 Certified Officer, or the ability to obtain certification Must be able and willing to work with domesticated pets and large animals Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation
