AECOM is seeking an Engineering Intern to be based in Austin, TX.

This position is expected to begin in May 2023.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Supports technology division in performing feasibility studies focused on emerging technology solutions

  • Developing an understanding of smart mobility solutions and strategies to improve safety and mobility

  • Assisting with project work such as data analysis, developing maps/graphics, writing reports, assisting with traffic analyses, and research on connected and autonomous vehicle (CAV) technology and emerging infrastructure technology

  • Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional

  • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidate must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • Must have completed one year of study

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Familiarity with MicroStation, ArcGIS, traffic software (such as Synchro, VISSIM, or HCS)

  • Strong organizational, technical and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
