Senior Cost Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Cost analyst to help us audit our expenses and find ways to make our operations more cost-efficient.You’ll be the go-to person for cost analysis and you’ll get to prepare reports to help management make better decisions. To do this job well, we’d like you to be well-versed in data and financial analysis, and have strong attention to detail.Ultimately, your job will be an integral part of our efforts to ensure profitability and business success.ResponsibilitiesAnalyzes expenses and cost transactions; ensures that transactions are recorded accurately and assigned to the appropriate projects and departments.Provides detailed financial analysis and reports of expenses including breakdowns of project costs, forecasts of remaining expenses, and opportunities to increase efficiency.Conducts market research to recommend changes to pricing or business models.Prepares periodic cost reconciliation reports, tracking data such as changing labor and supply costs.Apply knowledge of DoD acquisition processes or equivalent, and analytical methods or techniques to gather, analyze, and evaluate M&M, WTV, Aviation, and C4ISR data and develop cost analysis productsDevises solutions to problems relating to improvements of cost estimating techniquesPerform special cost studies for each, or across all, commodities at the tasking of COR.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Candidate must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in performing cost analysis functions in direct support of DoD Acquisition programs or equivalent projects.A bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or engineering field is required with at least 24 semester hours in mathematical, statistical, engineering and/or quantitative analysis coursesCandidate must also have demonstrated capability in cost analysis (parametric and non-parametric), statistics, and cost modeling, and a familiarity with the Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT) software package.A professional certification in cost analysis from DAWIA or ICEAA is preferred.Defend Your Business AgainstThe Latest Cyber Threats
