Duties
Reviews data and makes recommendations on wildlife issues within the Field Office area. Serves on field level interdisciplinary teams, and is responsible for writing and reviewing required biological input into environmental assessments and other NEPA documents, as well as biological assessments. Responsible for the identification of impacts to wildlife habitat by other resource activities. Evaluates inventory and monitoring data to determine habitat impacts, and formulates strategies to minimize or mitigate impacts. Designs and implements habitat improvement and restoration projects in coordination with other programs, federal agencies and non-government organizations.
