Job Summary
The Transportation Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented and self-motivated Senior Project Manager for immediate employment in the Akron or Columbus Ohio office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Civil Engineering specific to intersection and roadway design, highway design, pavement design, drainage design, utility coordination, and the preparation of construction documents, including plans, specifications and construction estimates.

Position Details:
  • Assists Ohio Leadership with business development and in interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating client proposals and marketing efforts.
  • Assists Ohio Leadership in developing and implementing marketing strategies for targeted public sector clients and specific projects in Ohio.
  • Plans, schedules, conducts, coordinates, and manages detailed phases of roadway engineering projects.
  • Verifies that applicable codes, engineering standards and environmental commitments are being met.
  • Reviews and approves scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
  • Tracks overall financial performance of task assignments, which includes coordinating with Ohio Leadership to monitor sold time and work backlog on tasks.
  • Delegates work to, mentors, trains, and supervises less experienced staff to complete assignments.
  • Contacts and interacts with local public sector clients (OTIC, ODOT, Cities, and Counties, etc.) in order to successfully complete assigned projects.
Minimum Requirements
  • BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Valid DL
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil/Transportation Engineering
  • 15 years of relevant project PS&E design experience
  • 5 years' ODOT experience
  • Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio
  • Proficient with ODOT Design Standards
  • 5 years’ experience with proposal and business development, client presentations and relationship development
  • Demonstrated success in achieving scope, schedule, and budget goals on a large-scale transportation project.
