Multi year contracting position. Pays $25 /hr. 100% onsite at Datacenter in Quincy, Washington. Shift is Saturday-Tuesday from 5 PM to 3 AM PT. Hiring off of one virtual interview. Open to taking more Junior Level candidates that have any background in IT.
Operational Duties:
· Ensure equipment is installed, repaired, or re-configured correctly and quickly, coordinating with other teams (customer and supplier) as needed.
· Ensure that the assigned work area is clean, stocked, safe, and secure by following established policies for maintaining work areas, stocking equipment and parts, and protecting information and physical assets.
· Effectively multitask, communicate proactively, and have excellent time management skills.
· Build, maintain, and revise processes to ensure efficient break/fix and communication activities.
· Ensure customer experience with DellEMC products is second to none.
Responsibilities:
· Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of server and storage equipment in a customer's production environment.
· Must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.
· Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment up to 50lbs safely.
· Responsible for escorting unbadged people when appropriate.
· Receive package deliveries.
· Updating, adding, and closing incident activity in one or more incident tracking systems.
· Coordinating receipt, stocking, and return shipping of equipment, parts, and other materials.
· Monitoring of the assigned work area, parts cages, and related areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and security.
· Concise, proactive communication with geographically dispersed team members.
· Train new team members on products, operational support, and best practices.
· Responsible for monitoring tickets and managing appropriately.
· Serve as On-site Point-of-Contact.
· Manage asset inventory for the assigned data center, including shipping, receiving, asset tracking and inventory audit exercises.
· Assist in producing and maintaining training manuals, policies, checklists and procedures.
· Various other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
· Work independently as a member of a geographically dispersed team.
· Be available for rotational on-call duties as necessary.
SOW / Skills Required
· 1 to 3 years' experience maintaining storage and/or server equipment in a data center environment.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, documentation skills a must.
· Excellent time management skills.
· iSCSI storage experience preferred.
· HP server experience preferred.
· Dell server experience preferred.
· Dell storage experience preferred.
· Must be a self-starter, and able to work with minimal supervision.
· Ability to adapt to ever changing requirements, processes, and environment.
· Must have reliable mobile phone service with email capabilities.
