AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Dam Engineer to be based in Germantown, MD.

This position is expected to begin June 2023.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Builds analytic and design skills.

  • Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an

  • experienced engineer.

  • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university.

  • Coursework and/or background in geotechnical engineering, hydrology & hydraulics engineering or structural engineering.

  • Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required for this position.

  • Candidate should possess valid driver's license.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering exam or successful completion within the first six months of employment; must be on track to attain Professional Engineer license.

  • Knowledge of MS Office Programs.

Additional Information:

  • Relocation is not offered for this position

  • Valid Driver’s License to operate an AECOM provided motor vehicle on construction project site(s) to support project tasks assignments and scope of work. For positions with driving responsibilities, Motor Vehicle Records are reviewed as part of AECOM’s background check process to ensure compliance with the Company’s driving standard.
