Do you love to care for patients in a warm and welcoming environment?

Gastro Health is currently looking for an enthusiastic full-time floater that is interested in filling in as needed with up to 50% traveling.

Daily Duties:
  • Scan procedure reports
  • Assist with recalls
  • Calculate procedure costs
  • File documentation into eCW system
  • Other duties as assigned
As Needed basis
  • Front Desk duties:
    • Ensure patient has current referral on date of service. Obtain referral if necessary.
    • Verify insurance benefits and eligibility prior to office visits & procedures.
    • Collect all applicable co-payment, coinsurance, deductible or outstanding balance from the patient & post all payments collected.
    • Research & assist patients with questions regarding balances including collecting applicable payments.
  • Medical Assistant duties:
    • Triage patient, take vitals, enter chief complaint, past & present history into EMR system.
    • Enter all current medications and prescription into EMR system.
    • Ensure patient charts are complete and required records are requested.
    • Call-in new prescriptions and refills and obtain authorization if necessary.
  • Care Coordinator duties:
    • Schedule all procedures to be performed by the physician.
    • Obtains all authorizations for procedures and tests.
    • Check-out patients at the end of their visit and provide next step instructions.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • 2+ years experience in medical practice or similar setting
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience desired
  • GI experience desired
  • Willing to travel to different centers
  • MA certification
