Operator

Bulk Operator III will be able to work any shift (1st/2nd/3rd shifts) and occasionally 12-hour shifts depending on scheduling needs for purposes of covering other Warehouse team member sick days, vacation days, or other long-term absences.
Your role:
- Perform all tasks required of the Bulk Operator II.
- Must be trained and qualified as a Warehouse Operator II.
- Must perform Warehouse Operator II role at least once (eight consecutive hours) every three months to hold qualifications for this position.
- Qualifications will be monitored by the Production Manager.
- Can fill either position for required overtime per seniority.
- Work as a team with others on shift to operate and meet cleaning standards
- Use computers to operate process equipment, document production reports, shift reports. Enter open, close, and input information into prism.
- Interact with other departments to communicate workflow, milling schedule, and equipment issues.
- Ensure employee safety, food safety and product quality.
- Complete all required documentation for their specific areas.
- Communicating issues to co-workers and supervisors regarding maintenance. This include but is not limited to unfinished jobs, ongoing projects, preventative maintenance, and other issues that arise.
- Perform all sanitation needs for work area ex. cleaning up spills, keeping the dust build-up to a minimum.
- Participate in assigned repair day work including but not limited to working filter, sifters, and internal cleaning and repairs.
- Works with co-workers to complete sanitation needs in other areas when needed.
- 5S all areas.
- Any other sanitation or cleaning task assigned to complete to maintain our Environmental, Health, Safety and Food Safety Standards.
- Have working knowledge of and the ability to use computers, database, production software and internet-based programs.
- Wear required PPE.
- Work periodically in elevated heights. Wear full body harness as needed.
- Will adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Must possess and utilize effective communication and personal interaction skills with all external and inter-departmental plant personnel associated to ensure maximum operational efficiency
- Must be able to comprehend and follow written/verbal instructions.
- Must be ethical in all decision making.
- Must demonstrate through personal results a commitment to high production standards and be a team player.
- Ability to handle pressure and stress.
- Other job tasks / functions as assigned by management.

Overall Working Conditions:
- Main duties are performed inside the plant but outside working may occur
- The worker is required to wear a dust mask when working in an area with airborne dust
- Extreme heat - Temperatures above 85 degrees for periods of more than 1 hour.
- Noise - Sufficient to cause the worker to shout to be heard above surrounding noise level.
- Atmospheric conditions - flour dust - affect respiratory system and skin
Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
