GRHS is seeking candidates for the position of Nutritionist 3 / Dietitian with our Food Service Department. This position will work 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

FOR THIS TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT, STATE LAW REQUIRES A NATIONAL AND STATE BACKGROUND CHECK AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT. 

Job Description

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Plans and conducts food service or nutritional programs to assist in the promotion of health and control of disease Provides nutritional assessment, education and counseling to individuals Recommends nutritional care plans and documents plans and progress in individuals’ records Assesses nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling Counsels individuals and groups on basic rules of good nutrition, healthy eating habits, and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of life. May serve as expert or organization resource in assigned areas May serve as project or team leader

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to State Qualifications, preference will be given to those candidates who possess some or all of the following:

Requires registration as a Dietitian by the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics Commission on Dietetic Registration and Licensure Must have At Least One to Two years’ experience as a Registered/Licensed Dietitian Experience working with Mental Health individuals a plus but not required Experience working in a leadership role

Bachelor's degree in dietetics, human nutrition, food and nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management or a closely related field from an accredited college or university from an Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics accredited program AND One year of experience as a dietitian/nutritionist AND registration as a Dietitian by the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics Commission on Dietetic Registration AND licensure as a Dietitian in the State of Georgia.
