New Opportunity Analyzer Technician

NES Fircroft is actively seeking experience Analyzer Technicians for our client, a major oil and gas refinery located in Paulsboro, NJ. This opportunity will be a full time, long term contract opportunity with the sites Maintenance Group, which could potentially convert to a permanent role at a later date. This position will focus on the maintenance of a variety of analytical equipment at the site, as well as supporting the sites maintenance team overall.

Job Summary:
The Analyzer Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of analytical instruments and systems used in our oil refinery. This role ensures the accurate and reliable operation of process analyzers to support safe and efficient refinery operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and calibrate various analyzers, including gas chromatographs, pH meters, oxygen analyzers, and other process control instruments.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all analytical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faulty analyzers to minimize downtime.
  • Document maintenance activities, calibration data, and any repairs performed.
  • Collaborate with other refinery teams to ensure analyzers meet operational requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance analyzer performance.
Qualifications:
  • 2 Experience with process analyzers in an industrial environment, preferably within an oil refinery.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and hazardous area classifications.
