ESG Research/Content Specialist

We are seeking a skilled ESG Research/Content Specialist to develop and create content on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting standards, climate, and other sustainability-related topics. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of sustainability issues and trends, excellent writing and research skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas to a diverse audience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a content strategy for ESG reporting, climate, and sustainability-related topics
  • Conduct research on ESG issues and trends, industry-specific standards, and reporting requirements
  • Write and edit high-quality content such as reports, whitepapers, articles, case studies, and other materials related to ESG, climate, and sustainability topics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Communications, and Sustainability to ensure consistency of messaging and content across channels
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging trends, best practices, and regulations related to ESG and sustainability reporting
  • Create content for social media, blogs, webinars, and other platforms to engage with stakeholders and customers
  • Work with third-party partners, industry organizations, and customers to produce joint content initiatives
  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of content marketing initiatives
  • Manage the content library and ensure it remains up-to-date and accessible to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, journalism, communications, or related field
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in content creation, sustainability, or ESG reporting
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex information
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and CDP
  • Understanding of climate science and policy, and familiarity with the Paris Agreement and related frameworks
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and content management systems
  • Familiarity with SEO and content marketing best practices is a plus
