Hours:

Acute Rehab Unit Only: Schedule will be either TuesdaySaturday (five 8hour shifts) or WednesdaySaturday (four 10hour shifts).

Acute Rehab Unit/Inpatient Units: Schedule will be either TuesdaySaturday (five 8hour shifts) or WednesdaySaturday (four 10hour shifts) with the hours shared 50/50 between the Acute Rehab Unit and Inpatient units

SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS (pay is based on majority of hours worked)

  • Evening Shift (3pm – 11:30pm) 8%
  • Night Shift (11:00pm – 7:30am) 11%
  • No Weekend Differential
Job Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients' physical emotional and cognitive capabilities to determine individualized treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement occupational therapy programs to help patients improve daily living skills and reach their therapeutic goals.
  • Teach patients compensatory techniques for improving independence in activities of daily living.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care to patients.
  • Maintain detailed records of patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to patients' families to ensure effective home care.
  • Stay updated on advancements in occupational therapy practices and participate in professional development activities.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensure as an occupational therapist in the state of practice.
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy physiology and medical conditions affecting occupational therapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to adapt treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
  • Empathy patience and compassion in working with patients facing physical or mental challenges.
Desired Experience:
  • Prior experience working as an occupational therapist in a clinical setting.
  • Experience in treating patients across different age groups.
  • Familiarity with assistive devices and technologies used in occupational therapy.
  • Experience in conducting functional assessments and developing customized treatment plans.
