We are a 5-doctor small animal AAHA hospital, and are looking for an outgoing, compassionate person who can multi-task and remain detail oriented. Applicants must be licensed. Our hospital team utilizes Licensed Veterinary Technicians to their fullest potential, and we provide an environment for continued development. We are looking to add a full or part time team member who will enhance our practice and become an integral part of our team.

At GFAH we enjoy a family atmosphere, and it is very important for all team members to have work-life balance. The hospital is open Monday – Friday 8 am – 6 pm, Saturdays 8 am – 3 pm, no late PM shifts and rotating Saturdays.

With us you will:

· Provide friendly, quality care to our clients. Provide and maintain a high standard of patient care including but not limited to:

· Discharging patients from the clinic

· Fill prescriptions, maintain controlled drug logs and inventory

· Draw blood, run in house lab tests

· Obtain vitals on patients, TPR as well as BP and IOP

· Inducing and intubating patients under sedation or anesthesia.

· Maintain a high standard of patient care

· IV catheter placement and maintenance. Drug administration

· Assist with surgical and perform dental procedures including preparation and monitoring of the patient. Performing dental radiographs and dental charting.

· Knowledge of drugs and their dosages/uses

· Recognizing and reporting pain, distress, or any other patient concerns.

· Assist in emergency services (CPR, unaided catheterization/intubation, drug administration)

· Participate in patient treatment and therapy by being an advocate for the patient and client

· Patient/client call back as well as client education

· Team member education and training
