Duties
Support monitoring implementation and data analysis in hydrological and aquatic monitoring programs within the framework of BLM’s multiple use mission. Analyzes hydrological and aquatic monitoring and assessment data at multiple scales taking into account the underlying sampling design and associated statistical assumptions. Reports on natural resource and/or ecological monitoring findings and recommendations. Prepares authoritative final reports and recommendations for management decisions. Provides Quality Assurance/Quality Control of monitoring data. Manages natural resource and ecological monitoring data (e.g., geodatabases) and associated files. May oversee and/or direct monitoring field crews to meet planned work accomplishments or data collection needs in support of Land Health Evaluations, Resource Management Plan effectiveness, and/or other permitted uses on BLM managed lands.
