DescriptionTradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Marine Pipefitters for projects located in and around Newport News, VA. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of up to $29.50/hour based on experience & skill level plus $120/per diem for travelers of 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
- Fit carbon steel, CRES
- Copper nickel piping
- Prep piping by hand and/or with Wach or Portsmouth Machine
- Install pipe hangers
- Prep & fitup backing rings
- Clean, cut/break pipe with a grinder
- Prep V bevels
- Fabricate various details & assemblies from drawings
- Bend pipe from template and in use of a hand bender
- Fit welded sockets
- Fit brazed joints with/without insert ring
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- 3+ Years of Marine Commercial, Nuclear or Petro/Chem First Class Pipefitting Experience
- Ability to Read & Interpret Ship Piping Drawings
- Experience in the trade
