Job Summary

The Transportation Water Resources group of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Water Resource Engineer to manage and lead a growing group in the Pittsburgh, PA office. The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead design activities including stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, roadway drainage, hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, utility coordination, site design and environmental permitting

  • Assist with the development of preliminary to final design calculations and drawings

  • Review field information and perform field inspection of existing stormwater facilities

  • Perform technical writing for design reports and permitting applications

  • Utilize MicroStation, AutoCAD, and a variety of Civil Engineering design software applications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other related Engineering field

  • Six (6) years or more of relevant work experience in drainage, stormwater management, and erosion & sediment control

  • Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record..

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ten (10) years or more of relevant work experience in drainage, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control

  • Demonstrable experience of overseeing or reviewing the engineering design

  • Basic knowledge of CAD software for the position (AutoCAD, MicroStation)

  • Experience with water resources design software (HydroCAD, Pondpak, HEC-RAS)

  • Passed the PE exam

  • Experience with PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, or other DOT

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or other related Engineering field

  • Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software

  • Previous Team Lead or leadership experience would be an advantage
