JOB SUMMARY:

Under supervision, provides entry level professional support in one or more of the following areas: OMAT, maintenance, construction, intermodal, planning, utilities, surveying, environmental andtraffic.

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS

The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific MinimumQualifications.

AGENCY MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS:

·Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

·Two years of experience driving a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) requiring a CDL of the same or higher class and/or the same endorsement and meets all applicable State qualification requirements for CMV instructors OR at least 2 years of experience as a Behind-the-wheel (BTW) CMV instructor and meets all applicable State qualification requirements for CMV instructors.

AGENCY PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS:

·Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Hazmat/Tanker endorsements

·Experience with commercial vehicles

·Experience providing CDL training for a company or largeorganization

·Ability to obtain other certification under Federal/Stateregulations

·Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills, especially when presenting to various group sizes with differing comprehensionlevels

·Displays good interpersonal skills; able to communicate up and down the chain ofcommand

·Experience visualizing problems and to make sound and well-informed decisions based on availableinformation

·Experience using available technology to enhance work processefficiency

·Experience in organizing work, setting priorities, and determining objectives and strategies to achievethem

·Experience adapting to changes in priorities, to changes in procedures and process and to the varying schedule demands ofjob

·Possesses self-motivation, commitment toward completing assignments on a timely mannerwith minimal supervision and demonstrates responsiblebehavior

·Experience working well with others to achieve sharedgoals

·Ability to travel districtwide, occasional statewide travel

·Ability to train in a classroom environment (in-person) as well as, outdoors in normal and inclementweather conditions

·Committed to providing quality customerservice
