ABOUT THE ROLE:

Summary of the role: An exciting position for an Assistant in Nursing has opened up at Mercy Place Cairns (Bethlehem) in Westcourt

Casual or part time available Provide quality resident-focused care utilising a person-centred approach and in accordance with care plans, Aged Care Standards and policies/procedures of Mercy Health Provide accurate and timely documentation relevant to resident care Work in consultation with other staff to provide relevant and timely information

ABOUT YOU:

Certificate III or IV in Aged Care (nursing students encouraged to apply) Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills Ability to operate in a team environment and report/document in line with requirements Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care. An ability to follow nursing procedures as directed and in line with resident care plans

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Candidates are required to meet the position and qualification requirements. Provide a current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check (Mercy Health may conduct additional background checks subject to current legislation). Proof of vaccination status consistent with public health orders and with Mercy Health’s policy (includes but is not limited to COVID-19 and seasonal influenza vaccination compliance requirement).
