DEPARTMENT: Finance



JOB SUMMARY: Manage the accuracy of final payroll reports, time sheets, spreadsheets, to the point of funds distribution; responding to inquiries and/or requests for data and/or reports; providing timely and accurate payroll production; ensuring compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations; and supervising assigned employees. Prepare tax filings and reports; quarterly and annually (form 941, w-2, w-3, state unemployment, etc.) Ensure compliance with federal grant requirements; reconciling accounts after each payroll. Coordinate/manage timekeeping and payroll systems; specifically, Time IPS and Munis. Compile statistical data from a variety of sources (e.g. Time sheets/payroll history, salary adjustments, retirement severances, benefits, leave balances, tax deposits, etc.) To provide summaries to other personnel and/or ensuring compliance with established guidelines.



COMPENSATION:  $36.86 hr. *Applicant may be offered more depending on experience.





MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION



High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field. * Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE



Five (5) years payroll processing experience.
Five (5) years preparing tax filings and reports.
Five (5) years working experience working with payroll accounting systems
Five (5) years supervisory experience in an Accounting or Finance Department
Five (5) years working experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
Five (5) years direct accounting experience to include general ledger and financial reporting.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES



Certified Payroll Professional.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : This is a regular Full-Time position.
