Vestas is the energy industry's global partner on sustainable energy solutions. We design, manufacture, install and service wind turbines. Since 2010, the Nacelles Factory in Brighton proudly manufactures nacelles (an engine) and hubs for wind turbines in 265,000 square feet of building space.
Join our production team and play a crucial role in the mechanical assembly of Nacelles (engines). In this position, you will be tasked with assembling fabricated parts at designated floor stations. Utilize your skills in handling mechnaical components and employ a variety of pneumatic hand tools and poewr tools to construct high-quality nacelle units efficiently.
This position is based in Brighton, Colorado
Day Shift: Monday - Thursday 5:000AM to 3:30pm. If available, overtime is worked on Friday 5:00am to 3:30PM.
Night Shift: Monday - Thursday 5PM to 3:30AM with a $3/hour shift differential for pay
Responsibilities for Production Team Member 2
• Efficiently assemble components utilizing both hand and power tools.
• Operate all manufacturing equipment efficiently and safely
• Adhere to Process Work Instructions, and manual production process, ensuring parts fit and are assembled correctly, including bolts, screws, shafts or bearings.
• Achieve production standards for various tasks within required time.
• Handle materials by lifting, positioning, and/or removing them from work areas.
• Move materials using a bridge crane or jib for loading, stacking and transportation.
• Interpret schematics to accurately assemble machine components.
• Collaborate with fellow assemblers to construct the final product.
• Test and inspect components to ensure they meet our standards of uniformity and quality.
Qualifications/Requirements
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum of 2 years of machinery, skilled trades, or manufacturing experience.
• Experience working with large machinery.
• Familiar with starnd power, hand, and pneumatic tools.
• Mechanical aptitiude.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions in English.
• Experience working on teams
Compensation: $25.50 per hour or more, depending upon applicable work experience
