DEPARTMENTAL INFORMATION
This position supports the Finance Section by providing a staff person who can ensure tenants are accurately reporting and remitting revenues. The position also ensures revenues and expenses are correctly applied to the Airport’s cost centers to comply with the FAA’s revenue diversion and lease agreement requirements. At the airport, this position has no involvement with taxes.
JOB SUMMARY
This classification is located in the Financial Management Section of the Administration Division of the Airport Department within the City of Oklahoma City. This position is under the direction of an immediate supervisor. Work involves the application of generally accepted government auditing standards, theories, techniques, and practices. The employee must possess skills and knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and techniques, and the ability to identify and advise on deficiencies related to compliance with existing laws and regulations prior to assuming the position. Essential job functions include: performing reviews and audits of tax and/or revenue sources by gathering, assembling, consolidating, and analyzing data; drawing valid conclusions based upon research findings; and monitoring and enforcing tax and/or lease requirements rules, regulations and compliance guidelines. Work requires considerable contact with department/division personnel and outside agencies. Work products are reviewed through analysis and evaluation of work papers, reports, and recommendations.

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business, Accounting, or Finance. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in performance and/or governmental auditing. Skill and ability in performing complex reconciliations of financial and statistical data. Skill and ability to conduct a detailed review of complex and detailed reports and documents to ensure they contain no errors and the information contained within each of the documents is consistent with all the other related documents.COMPETENCIES
