Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a talented Senior Project Manager to immediately join our transportation team to assist in the pursuit, development, execution, and delivery of a variety of major projects, including construction management, design-build and design-bid-build contract types.

AECOM is a leading design consultant both globally and in the Georgia market. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a candidate with extensive expertise with the Georgia Department of Transportation’s project development process from design through construction and someone that can assist with the delivery of several key strategic business objectives. The candidate will be an effective leader, strong project manager and willing to coach and mentor other team members.

Responsibilities include:

  • Participation in strategic plan development for the Georgia Transportation Business Line
  • Serving as technical advisor for project, construction, and quality management
  • Performing Design and Constructability review
  • Serving in leadership, project management and technical support roles for major alternate delivery projects
  • Mentoring technical and project management staff
  • Assisting in the delivery of design and professional services

Minimum Requirements
  • BS Civil Engineer
  • Significant senior delivery and director capabilities in the development, design, and construction of infrastructure projects
  • Experience in delivery and execution of large-scale projects with a strong understanding of all stages of the project life cycle including start-up, execution, and close out
  • 8 + years of GDOT transportation project experience
  • Georgia PE

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of technical and design solutions for infrastructure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 20 years of GDOT transportation experience
