Position Details:

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate students’ abilities and needs in their educational environment.
  • Develop individualized therapy plans to improve students’ ability to perform daily activities and reach their educational goals.
  • Implement therapy plans with students individually or in group settings using a variety of therapeutic techniques.
  • Monitor and document students’ progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers parents and other school staff to ensure integration of the therapy plan in the classroom setting.
  • Educate school staff and parents on how to accommodate and work with students who have different needs.
  • Recommend and provide assistance with the use of adaptive equipment.
  • Ensure all services provided are in compliance with school policies and procedures as well as state regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Valid Occupational Therapist license
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • A deep understanding of confidentiality obligations and therapy best practices
