Job Information:

• Flexible Schedule, 8-hour shifts between 7 am - 7 pm, Monday - Thursday

• Clock in-clock out through OpenDental

• Reports to the Lab Manager

• 1-hour lunches

• Includes benefits (see employee handbook for benefit breakdown or ask HR)

• You will be required to deal with hazardous materials.

• This job requires you to work in a fast-paced environment, deal with order setbacks, and project deadlines.

 

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

• (Required) Certified Dental Technician

• Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, materials, and techniques used in dental prosthetics - Proficiency in using CAD/CAM software for designing dental restorations 

• Experience with medical documentation and coding systems for accurate record-keeping 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines 

• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise handcrafting work 

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with dentists and dental technicians

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Constructs, fits, and repairs dental devices.

 

Specific Duties:

• Reads prescriptions or specifications and examines models or impressions to determine the design of dental products to be constructed.

• Fabricates, alters, or repairs dental devices, such as dentures, crowns, bridges, inlays, or appliances for straightening teeth.

• Melts metals or mixes plaster, porcelain, or acrylic pastes and pours materials into molds or over frameworks to form dental prostheses or apparatus.

• Tests appliances for conformance to specifications and accuracy of occlusion.

• Place tooth models on apparatus that mimics bite and movement of patient's jaw to evaluate the functionality of the model.

• Creates a model of the patient's mouth by pouring plaster into a dental impression and allowing plaster to set.

• Trains or supervises other dental technicians or dental laboratory bench workers.

 

Please note that this is not an entry-level position. Experience in the field of dental ceramics is required.
