We are looking for a legal assistant with a background in civil litigation matters to join our client's growing law firm.

We are a boutique, multi-office law firm that handles personal injury and employment matters in the Sacramento and San Diego regions. Our office prides itself on utilizing legal software, practice management, and other tools to make our teams more efficient and the legal process more enjoyable. Culture means everything to us

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting one attorney in maintaining a caseload of 80-120 active matters through all stages of pre-litigation, litigation, and resolution. This candidate should feel comfortable conducting all forms of discovery, doing data entry, scheduling, maintaining case files, reviewing written work products for formatting, spelling, and grammar, and completing other ad-hoc requests, as needed. High attention to detail and the ability to work in a close-knit team environment are also preferred. Marketing experience and the ability to speak multiple languages are pluses but not a requirement.

The Position:

This is an hourly position with benefits, with a flexible range based on experience and qualifications. Compensation is to be discussed at the interview, but we are very competitive in the Sacramento area. Responsibilities:

Litigation Calendaring Drafting discovery Propounding discovery Daily client interaction (calling, emailing, etc.) Ordering medical records and bills Assist with all aspects of case management Organize and electronically file pleadings Coordinate and schedule calendars Review the attorney's written work product

Qualifications:

Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 2+ years experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal Ability to work overtime Experience with practice management software Experience with electronic filing Experience with Court Calendaring, and/or, court calendaring software

Compensation:

Full-time Hourly position + competitive benefit structure Annual bonus (very competitive) PTO and Overtime Pay
