Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to be based in San Diego, CA.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Geotechnical Staff Engineer will support various projects that involve field investigation, soil sample collection, geotechnical analysis, and design of foundations for various structures such as bridges, dams, pipelines, treatment plants, etc.
  • Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Work closely with senior engineers and project managers and get guidance on all aspects of the geotechnical engineering work.
  • Knowledge in installation and/or functioning of geotechnical investigation and analysis is a plus.
  • Analyzing data using spreadsheets and geotechnical software assist in preparation of geotechnical reports.

Minimum Requirements
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering
