Chevron is accepting online applications for the position FEI Inspector through 08/19/2024 at 11:59 p.m. (CST).

Provides inspection services to various refinery process units and off plot facilities. Ensures safe and reliable operating conditions of fixed equipment through scheduled inspections and guidance on quality repairs that meet corporate and code requirements. Plans, coordinates, and performs required internal and external compliance inspections for tanks, vessels, columns, and piping at code and jurisdictional-mandated intervals. Implements and maintains equipment reliability plans and a risk-based inspection (RBI) methodology for assigned area. Participates in design reviews for new construction to ensure it meets company and code requirements. Participates in turnaround and on-stream inspection scope planning. During turnarounds, manages inspection requirements such as internal inspections, required repairs, and NDE scheduling and validation. Maintains inspection data, records, recommendations, and repairs in computer-based reliability data management applications.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of refinery process unit operations
  • Refinery experience in supporting Fixed Equipment Asset Strategy efforts; Creating/Implementing asset strategy tasks, establishing acceptance criteria, and documenting in System of Record (SoR), executing asset strategy tasks, evaluating results against acceptance criteria, and documenting in SoR, identifying, and managing deficiencies and developing recommendations to resolve them, shutdown planning and execution, routine compliance - internal, external, additional surveillance, FFS review.
  • Effective oral and written communication

Relocation Options:

Relocation is not offered for this role. Only local candidates will be considered.
