Locum Anatomical Pathologist

Austin Anatomical Pathology is looking to employ part-time locum pathologists to help with our increased workload while we are actively recruiting for permanent staff. In particular we are looking for experienced pathologists to report high-volume lower-complexity cases (predominantly skin and GI pathology) from our regional referrers. Number of sessions (from minimum to 35hrs per week) and case mix to be determined by mutual arrangement. We are expecting available employment to continue until at least the end of 2023, with the opportunity of ongoing employment, as we continue our regional expansion. Our pathologists are located at Austin Hospital, Heidelberg.

Locum pathologists are not expected to conduct multidisciplinary meetings, perform on-call duties, or research. Some registrar supervision and adherence to good clinical governance are inherent in the position. We have a large and diverse group of pathologists, and a culture of supporting members of the team.
