Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to provide & administer Information Technology equipment, Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS); Maintains Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) links for Information Technology equipment & Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) workstation & service customer requests. This position is located at the Chinle Service Unit, Division of Administrative Services, Information Resource Management Department, Chinle, Arizona.

Duties

NOTE: This position is being announced concurrently with announcement IHS-24-CH-12254306-ESEP/MP for candidates at the GS-11 grade level, please review vacancy announcement for eligibility requirements. Applicants must apply separately for each announcement in order to be considered for each grade level. Implements operating procedures in compliance with Indian Health Services standards as well as Information Resource Management requirements for all computing and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) equipment. Establishes proper record keeping procedures to document actions taken while using the systems. Operate and utilize the Resource and Patient Management (RPMS) applications to support the patient care activities of the services unit including the support of the Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS). Prepares systems documentation in accordance with agency standards. Operating systems and the ability to configure and produce a functioning system that has the ability to communicate with other devices on the computer network.
