Looking for Functional Tester/Manual Tester/QA Tester

Location: Mechanicsburg PA need locals

Experience: 2 years

REQUIRED SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Candidate must have at least 23 years of IT experience of which the last 1 year is focused on endtoend software testing including creating and executing test scenarios analyzing and documenting software defects based on stated requirements and design specifications.

Knowledge of the public sector specifically state government programs and applications.

Good understanding of interpreting business requirements system design and creating compelling test scenarios

Proficiency in at least one test case management and defect management tool.

E.g. Microsoft Test Manager (MTM) HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Quality Center (QC)

Endtoend solid knowledge of SDLC (software development lifecycle) and STLC (software testing lifecycle) in waterfall as well as agile methodology

Must be able to create SQL queries against an Oracle database when necessary to verify business scenarios have been met.

Experience with data conversion environment involving legacy systems to the modern technology platform.

Analyze test results against functional design and expected results.

Manage defect creation tracking prioritization and coordinate resolution with the development team and functional leads.

Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Ability to balance multiple task assignments

Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
