Job SummaryCurrent internship positions are available in Alaska, Lower 48, or Global Technical Function organizations.
Our internships provide opportunities to learn and apply engineering skills. Successful candidates will receive diversified training through on-the-job assignments using the technical skills acquired in college. Assigned projects will develop the interns both technically and professionally. Each intern will be assigned a technical mentor and supervisor to ensure a productive and engaging assignment.
Interns are typically matched to one of the Upstream disciplines including Reservoir, Production, Facilities, Drilling, Completions, Projects, or Electrical Engineering. Within that discipline, the intern will be responsible for completing one or more projects during the summer. As an example, past projects have included developing improved forecasting techniques for unconventional reservoirs, artificial lift optimization, facility design modifications to improve air quality, drill bit design/selection, sand production mitigation and infrastructure benchmarking. The intern will work within established engineering and/or operations teams.
