Summary Statement
This level is responsible for supervising and participating in moral and spiritual support programs for individuals for an assigned state facility.
Essential Functions
Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class. Plans, coordinates, and conducts religious services according to expressed religious preference of a facility’s population, which may include a variety of religions and belief systems (i.e. Christianity, Islam, Judaism).Plans and schedules religious programs and instruction provided by community volunteers.
Provides religious and spiritual counsel to individual and families on a regular basis and in time of crisis.
Ensures moral and spiritual support on a consistent and emergency basis.
Maximizes benefits of volunteer programs.
Participates with other staff professionals to provide holistic care.
