PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Responsible for preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used for duties assigned.
EXPECTATIONS OF ALL TEAM MEMBERS
High quality, professional work product performed with initiative, productivity, a positive attitude and behavior. Team members should cooperate with others in a team environment, accept direction from supervisors, follow work rules and procedures, have punctual and consistent attendance, and accept constructive feedback. Performance should meet or exceed the established standards, goals, and accountabilities of the position.
All team members are responsible for supporting an inclusive work environment along with affirmative action and employment related goals and requirements. Team members should align with and contribute to the Mortenson values and ethical standards as stated in the Mortenson Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and understand and abide by the procedures and practices outlined in the Mortenson Operations Manual. KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
A. Load and unload equipment
B. General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and unloading.
G. Provide work direction and guidance to Laborer I, II, Helpers and Apprentice
J. Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
K. All other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
A. Ability to work with tools and equipment, such as, power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills and jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders and power buggy's
B. Strong teamwork orientation
C. Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
D. Detail orientation
E. Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A. Must have completed two-year apprenticeship program
B. Experience in construction preferred
