We are excited to announce an opening for a Buyer role within our Houston, TX team, reporting to the Purchasing Supervisor. This position is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for supply chain management to make a significant impact in our procurement operations. The role involves the strategic sourcing of essential materials for OEM inspection equipment manufacturing, including fasteners, fittings, tools, and MRO supplies. We're looking for a proactive, self-motivated individual with experience in procurement, adept in vendor relations, order management, and utilizing ERP systems like JDE Enterprise One. This role offers the chance to join a collaborative team, where your contributions will directly enhance our manufacturing efficiency and success.

You'll be instrumental in sourcing materials such as fasteners, fittings, tools, and MRO supplies, essential for our OEM inspection equipment manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Procurement: Take charge of issuing and maintaining purchase orders, focusing on critical materials for manufacturing.

- Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating terms to align with company objectives.

- Order Management: Stay on top of open orders, ensuring timely deliveries and addressing any delays proactively.

- Data Accuracy: Keep meticulous records, utilizing JDE Enterprise One or similar ERP systems to track procurement processes.

- Communication: Serve as a key communication link between suppliers and internal teams, ensuring clarity and efficiency in procurement processes.

What We're Looking For:

- A proactive, self-motivated individual with entry to mid-level experience in procurement or supply chain roles, ideally in a manufacturing setting.

- Familiarity with JDE Enterprise One or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.

- Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.

- Ability to independently manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.

- An understanding of the specific types of commodities used in our manufacturing processes.
