If you have the Drive, We have the Vehicle.Job Summary:The Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.Job Responsibilities:*Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standardsCommunicate with parts department to obtain needed parts, inform team leader if vehicle is awaiting parts and pursue special order of parts if necessaryDiagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair, if authorized by customerExamine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is requiredNotify service consultants immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs can not be completed within the time promisedDocument work performed on each vehicle on the repair order using the concern, cause and correction formatRoad-test vehicles to check work performedEnsure that customer vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being servicedKeep shop area neat clean and be able to account for all dealership owned tools at all timesUnderstand and follow federal, state and locate regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wasteDemonstrates behaviors consistent with the company's vision, mission and values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliersAdheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standardsFollow company safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt and harsh chemicalsQualifications:Must meet company's requirements for employmentAbility to read and comprehend written instructions and informationGeneral mechanical skillsMust have a valid driver's licenseAbility to drive manual transmission vehiclesProfessional appearanceManual dexterity, good judgment and ability to operate power and hand tools and other types of machinery safelyThree years of work experience as a service technician (preferred)Demonstrated customer service skillsASE certification (preferred)Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:Exposure to inclement weather.
