Summary/Objective:
The Scheduling Sergeant is tasked with leading by example upholding all
DMS policies standards and code of ethics. This role is responsible for creating and managing
schedules for all DMS Officers ensuring that our contractual obligations to clients are met. The
Scheduling Sergeant will also foster professional relationships to maintain the quality of services
across all locations and assist with administrative duties within the security division as needed.
Essential Functions:

1. Prepare and maintain a 30day schedule for all DMS Officers.
2. Manage employee timekeeping effectively.
3. Uphold trust accountability and confidentiality.
4. Inspect Officers to ensure compliance with uniform requirements.
5. Conduct site inspections to identify hazards or security concerns for officers vehicles or
clients.
6. Ensure highquality service delivery at all client locations.
7. Perform 360degree exterior and interior vehicle inspections for all vehicles in the field
at least twice a week.
8. Ensure officer quality assurance across all posts.
9. Be fully trained at all posts and patrol locations within one month of assignment.
10. Conduct onthejob training for both patrol and static locations.
11. Assist in developing and reinforcing a positive companywide culture.
12. Ensure all sites are properly staffed and promptly address callouts or noshows
notifying admin staff and holding the post until relieved.
13. Respond promptly to all officerrelated calls in the field providing necessary backup and
assistance.
14. Maintain a detailed work journal (Weekly Dashboard) and submit it to the GM weekly.
15. Collaborate with the DMS operational team to achieve training administrative and
operational goals.
16. Assist with onboarding interviewing and processing new hires as needed.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position supervises:
Acts as the highestranking supervisor onsite during incidents until relieved by a
Lieutenant or higher.
Assists in the improvement and training of officers on a Performance Improvement Plan
(P.I.P.).
Maintains the patrol/supervisor phone responding to all calls professionally
courteously and promptly.
Trains DMS Officers and fosters professional relationships to ensure quality service
delivery across all locations.
Upholds all DMS policies standards and code of ethics.
Rotates responsibilities with other DMS supervisory team members in the oncall
supervisory program handling all scheduling issues during the oncall rotation.
Administrative Duties: Must learn the company s Track Tic Program and Connect Pay Program within 30 days of assignment.
Monthly scheduling input and assignments.
Guard license processing.
Timeoff request coordination.
Assist with performance review processing.
Work Environment
This position may require working both indoors and outdoors. Employees may be exposed to
unsafe working conditions such as construction zones (PPE will be provided if needed) open
areas and environments with potential safety risks. Work may be required in various weather
conditions including extreme heat cold or blizzard conditions.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an
employee to perform the essential functions successfully. While performing the duties of this
job the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is frequently is required to
stand walk use hands to finger handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. This position
occasionally requires lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds bending and standing as necessary.
The ability to work in various environments including inclement weather occasional lifting or
carrying of up to 40 pounds climbing stairs ramps or ladders as needed and standing or
walking on various surfaces for extended periods is required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is primarily a daytime to evening position. Hours and days are to be discussed. The selected
candidate must have a flexible working schedule. Evening weekend and holiday work may be
required. This is an evolving position with weekly and monthly requirements so flexibility is key.
Travel
Travel to client locations as needed with travel requirements potentially extending up to an
hour from the company office. A companyowned vehicle will be provided for all onduty travel.
RequirementsRequired Education and Experience
1. High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED).
2. Fluent in English with proficiency in reading and writing.
Preferred Education & Experience
1. A minimum of three years of experience in armed security safety and risk management.
Strong computer skills are desired.
2. Prior office experience.
3. Experience with scheduling and timekeeping.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
1. A minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
2. Must maintain an active armed guard license.
3. Prior supervisory experience in security or safety.
4. Must pass a CBI/FBI Background Check annually.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)
The employee must be authorized to work in the United States and must possess a valid driver s
license.
