Summary
About the position: This position will be assigned to the Outdoor Pool at the Aquatics Center on Edwards AFB, Ca.
Duties
Continuously and vigilantly observes swimming areas and surroundings to ensure water safety rules and pool regulations are observed by all patrons, utilizing a good knowledge of all aspects of water safety. Coordinates the opening and closing of the swimming areas to authorized patrons at appropriate times. Ensures only authorized patrons to utilize the facilities. Performs proper skills and training to rescue distressed patrons, and promptly administers the appropriate first aid and emergency medical procedures. Notifies swimmers and leadership of unsafe environments or health conditions and provides appropriate recommendations (. closing swimming areas until safe conditions prevail). Inspects all equipment daily for malfunctions and confirms that all necessary repairs are made. Responsible for the cleanliness of swimming pools, locker rooms, dressing areas, shower rooms, latrines, etc. May be responsible for completing and recording preventative maintenance and cleaning IAW all Air Force and other regulations (. water temperature checks, chemical checks, .
