AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to be based in Raleigh, North Carolina.

This position is scheduled to begin in December 2022.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Creates bridge geometric layout, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Builds analytic and design skills.
  • Conducts bridge engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Conducts retaining wall design and drawings.
  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
  • Assists with bridge inspection under the supervision of a certified bridge inspection team lead.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Very Familiar with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam
  • Some experience with Microstation and other civil engineering related software ( Mathcad, OpenRoads, OpenBridge)
  • Previous work experience or internship with engineering firms, contractors or DOTs involved in design, construction or management of highway or other transportation related projects.
