POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with development, engineers, administrator, and Business teams to plan the testing approach and then execute on the plan.

Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.

Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using selected tool suite.

Identify, document, and track bugs.

Incorporate feedback on daily meetings and scrums.

Investigate product quality in order to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction.

Develop and apply automation testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.

Liaise with internal teams (e.g. engineers, and business managers) to identify shipboard system requirements.

Conduct exploratory testing to identify unintended product behavior.

Collaborate with the team to ensure consistent project execution.

Escalate any testing-related risks to communicated timeliness as early as possible.

Participate in planning meetings, daily stand-up, and demos.

Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvement.

Adopt a mindset of continuous improvement.

Use data and experimental observations to drive ideas.

Engage in full life cycle of testing and Quality Assurance practices, in multiple types of projects.

Work on multiple high priority projects concurrently.

Perform other job-related functions as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or other related field of study; or any combination of relevant work experience and education.


EXPERIENCE: 3 - 5 years' experience in Software and Website Quality Assurance testing. Experience with Agile Methodology. Experience with defect tracking / source control tools (Jira, GitHub). Experience with QA Automated Testing Tools (Selenium, Cucumber, SoapUI). Ability to write SQL queries and perform database testing. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Experience with e-Commerce, cruise/travel industry a plus.


KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. Keen attention to detail. Strong initiative, priority setting, and collaboration skills. Ability to work cooperatively with others on a team. Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment. Strong focus on delivering quality product to production environments. Ability to perceive cues in order to clear or prevent roadblocks. Expertise using Agile methodologies. Knowledge of automated testing tools and techniques. Knowledge of programming language used for QA automation. Sound understanding of software testing techniques and QA processes. Strong understanding of engineering tools and concepts. Stays informed of changes in technology.
